Does Accupuncture fore smoking cessation really work?

I just had accupuncture today for smoking cessation. The doctor came highly recommended, but she didn't speak English very well and wasn't really able to explain what will exactly happen to me over the next several weeks. I am a heavy smoker, and have cut my smoking by about 50% today. It seems like it's mostly my will power. Should I even be smoking at all after having had this done? Please don't respond with negativity. I really want to see this work, but my cravings are amazing, even after the procedure. Advice?
