How do i stop my boyfriend’s smoking addiction?

he's already finished his senior year, and i'm still in 8th grade. i love him soo much, but recently i caught him smoking around the "hood" with his obnoxious friends. it shocked me to see that, because i never knew he smoked, and i thought he was a good boy.

Is there anyway i can cut his addiction without hurting his feelings or getting the community involved?
